Arrive at Lanquestrian Ltd. On the Sunday afternoon and settle you and your horse in before having an evening meal and chance to meet everyone. Over the course of the camp sessions include:
Dressage
Show Jumping
Cross Country
Beach Rides
Stable Management
Lectures and Demonstrations
Activities run from Monday to Thursday at Lanquestrian Ltd. Which is also home to an ABRS and Pony Club Riding Centre and is a competition centre which has its own cross country course and is set in 47 acres. Camp is open to any one age 18 years old and over with their own horse or pony. Accommodation is in your own tents or can be arranged locally, all meals are provided.

Non-members/bronze/silver members of Lanquestrian Riding Club = £300
Gold members of Lanquestrian Riding Club = £240
Costs include all tuition, camping, all meals and soft drinks provided at Lanquestrian Ltd. No reduction in cost, or payment will be given if you have accommodation, food or drink elsewhere than Lanquestrian Ltd. Please advise us on any special dietary requirements on booking. Full payment must be received before we can confirm your booking.
Booking will be on a first come first served basis and numbers at each camp will be restricted. All equines must be fully vaccinated for Equine Influenza and Tetanus at the time of camp and proof will be required. For camp rules please refer to the section below although a hard copy will be sent with confirmation of us receiving payment in full for the camp.

Beach Ride- hack to the beach and spend time on Middleton Sands having fun.

Hack home along west shore cutting through Sunderland point and then alongside the Lune Estuary.

Equipment List
The following equipment must be brought with you to camp. Please clearly name everything that you bring to camp. Although we will provide a lockable area for your horses tack and your riding gear this will be shared by all other camp members and so Lanquestrian Ltd. will take no responsibility for loss or damage to any items. Please make sure you have adequate insurance to cover any items that you bring should they be lost, stolen or damaged. Bring your tent for a real camp experience or if preferred accommodation can be arranged locally at extra cost. All meals are provided for you. Stabling is provided for your horse or pony. Bedding (no paper products please), hay and feed is to be brought by yourself.
Camping Equipment
- Tent with ground sheet
- Bedding suitable for sleeping outside in a tent at night
- Torch
- Camping Chair
Clothing
(please ensure that you bring enough for the duration of camp as there are no washing machine facilities on site).
- Jodhpurs
- Footwear - Riding Boots, Wellingtons, casual shoes
- Riding Hat that fastens .
- Gloves
- Shirts, Long Sleeved T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, underclothes
- Warm and waterproof Jacket and Trousers suitable for English weather!!!
- Show of Hacking Jacket with shirt, tie and other appropriate gear if competing
- Casual clothing (for evening and pub!)
- Night wear
- Body protector that fits and must be Kitemarked and conform to current British standards (this is compulsory for any Jumping and for the beach ride)
- Working Overalls.
- Any other normal clothing or equipment you use
Tack and Horse Equipment
- Whips - Long Dressage whip and Short Jumping or Riding Whip
- Saddle(s)
- Bridle(s) with any different bits and/or attachments for different disciplines
- Boots and/or studs you would normally use for dressage, jumping, XC, and road work (to the beach).
- Rugs as required for time of year (must include a cooler rug or anti-sweat sheet with appropriate over rug)
- Tail Bandage
- 4 x Exercise Bandages and Gamgee/Fibregee or equivalent for underneath
- 4 x Stable/Travel bandages and Gamgee/Fibregee or equivalent for underneath
- Grooming Kit to include at least: Box; Dandy Brush; Body Brush; Rubber, Plastic & Metal Curry Combs; Hoof pick; Mane comb; Sponges x 3; Water Brush; Pulling Comb; Hoof oil brush; Stable Rubber; Scissors; Sweat Scraper; Plaiting Kit with bands, plaiting cotton, and blunt plaiting needles)
- Mucking out tools and barrow/muck skip
- Your horse/ponys normal Hay, Feed and any supplements
- Buckets x 3 (Water, Feed, washing)
- Shavings or Straw (no other bedding permitted without prior permission - DEFINITELY NO PAPER)
- Any other normal products or equipment you use

Rules for Lanquestrian Ltd. Summer Adult Horse Camp.
*Lanquestrian Ltd. Accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, damage or theft of any person, possessions or equipment. Although we will provide a lockable area for your horses tack and your riding gear this will be shared by all other camp members and so Lanquestrian Ltd. will take no responsibility for loss or damage to any items. Please make sure you have adequate insurance to cover any items that you bring should they be lost, stolen or damaged.
Camp is open to any one age 18 years old and over with their own horse or pony.
It is recommended that all camp attendees have their own insurance for personal accident and theft or damage to belongings. You and anyone accompanying you to Lanquestrian are responsible for your own safety and are made aware that horse riding is a high risk sport and that horses and ponies can be unpredictable by nature. You are also responsible for any of your own property that you may bring onto the Lanquestrian Ltd. Site. Please do not bring large amounts of money or valuables and please understand that any property you bring is your own responsibility. Please make sure you have adequate insurance to cover any items that you bring should they be lost, stolen or damaged.
It is your responsibility to ensure your trailer or horsebox is secure by locks, clamps and /or immobilisers and the responsibility of insurance and any conditions of this are also up to you .
*All riders must have public liability insurance for you and your horse/pony.
*Completed rider and horse/pony questionnaires must be fully completed and handed in on the Sunday otherwise you will be unable to ride.
*Riders must wear correctly fitted headgear which is Kitemarked and conforms to current British safety standards. Hats must be fastened AT ALL TIMES when mounted at Lanquestrian Ltd.
*Body protectors to current British Safety Standards are compulsory for any Jumping, Cross country, the beach ride and hacking
*Reflective fluorescent gear must be worn at all times when riding out from the Lanquestrian Ltd. premises.
*We regret No Stallions are permitted and all horses and ponies brought to camp must be at least 4 years of age as of 01/01/2007.
*Any animal suspected of illness will not be allowed onto the Lanquestrian Ltd. Premises.
*Horses and ponies feet must be in good condition, (either trimmed or shod) for camp.
*Horses and ponies must have undergone a fitness programme prior to horse camp. We recommend that this programme is commenced at least 6 weeks before camp.
*Horses and ponies must be sound and fit to work.
*Excessive use of the whip, spurs or any other form of Cruelty to any horse/pony will not be permitted on the premises and you may be asked to leave as well as being reported to appropriate authorities.
*All equines must be fully vaccinated for Equine Influenza and Tetanus at the time of camp and proof will be required.
*Stables and the area surrounding them are to be kept skipped out and clean at all times and stables must be mucked out at least once a day.
*Bedding for horses must not be paper based products.
*If you wish to bring alcohol to camp then it is your personal choice and we have no objections to you bringing and consuming your own alcohol. We will not however tolerate any drunken behaviour that jeopardises any person, horse or ponys safety or enjoyment.
*No drugs are permitted on the premises and anyone breaking this rule will be reported to the police.
*You are asked to conduct themselves, family, friends or animals in a way as not to be a nuisance or hazard to other members. We reserve the right to expel from the premises any person or horse/pony behaving in a manner likely to adversely affect the safety or enjoyment of others.
*No fires, barbecues or naked flames are allowed on the premises, Lanquestrian Ltd. Is a non-smoking establishment.
*Entry fees for other Lanquestrian Ltd. events once paid cannot be refunded in any circumstance.
*Competitors must be correctly dressed when competing, i.e. hat, jacket, collar & tie/stock, jodhpurs and riding boots.
*Booking will be on a first come first served basis and numbers at each camp will be restricted to 12 riders.
*Payment of camp fees indicates the acceptance of all the Lanquestrian Ltd. rules.
