University and College Students at Lanquestrian Ltd.

Whichever University or College you are a student at, this page is for you.

We have special discounted lessons for those who hold a Student Union card, we also give you a 5 % discount if you order any equipment for horse or rider from our small saddlery retail business.

If you need a work placement as part of your course we can take a small number of students each term/year - see below for what is available.

We also give you opportunity to compete inhouse and at university/college competitions.

Dont forget to check the rest of this site however as there is always plenty to do at Lanquestrian Ltd. And there are always plenty of freinds to make here too - horse & human!

Wednesday is Students Afternoon

2 Hours For Just £20!

2 hours of horse-care, tuition and hacking for £20 to members of the students union.
Booking is essential and priority is given to the university/college riding club.

When booking you must be honest about your riding ability, you will have to fill in a form here before you ride and if you are not telling the truth then you will be found out and we do not want to compromise the safety and enjoyment of any rider, instructor, spectator or horse in the process.

P.S. TO AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT YOU MUST BOOK!

1pm - 3pm Beginners & Novices

The beginners and novices group is for anyone who has never ridden, those who have only ridden a few times and those who can walk and trot but are not profficient and happy in canter yet.

You will learn and practise how to catch, groom, tack up and the basic care of a horse and the associated equipment aswell as how to ride a horse or pony in walk, trot and the beginnings of canter. If you want to there will be the opportunity to take the ABRS Weekly Rider Tests at the end of each term/holiday.

3pm - 5pm Intermediates and Advanced

The intermediates and advanced group is for those that have been riding a while and whom might own or have owned their own horses. To be in this group you will need to be happy and competent in walk, trot and canter at least.

You will have lessons in flatwork and jumping for those that want to. You will also have opportunity to hack out from LQ on occasion in the surounding villages, countryside and shoreline.
At the end of each term/holiday there will also be chance to take ABQR Weekly Rider Tests.
