Part Loan is the next best thing to owning a horse and in a lot of ways it is better…. 

Part loan is having one of LQs horses or ponies to ride, love and care as if it were your own when it is not being used LQ.  The Part Loan Horse or pony remains the property of Lanquestrian Ltd. and is primarily used by Lunebank Riding Centre (LRC) for lessons, hacks, training & competition

 How do Clients benefit from Part Loan? 

You benefit in a number of ways, your riding will improve dramatically, you will create a bond with your part loan horse, you will learn a great deal from caring for your part loan horse but also by being around the yard as many activities are going on such as visits from the vet or farrier, specialist work for certain horses and general yard routine.  In particular you will be able to:

• Have a 1 hour lesson or a 2 hour Pony Club/Horse Club Rally every week
• Access to a well-trained horse/pony that would normally cost thousands of pounds
• Join in other group lessons free of charge*
• Improve your General Riding and stable management
• Treat the Part Loan Horse or Pony as your own when not in use by LQ or LRC
• Be part of a friendly team on our yard
•  Enter Competitions with “first dibs” on the loan horse/pony
• Have free access to all of the facilities at Lanquestrian Ltd.*
• An alternative horse to ride should your loan horse/pony not be available for any reason

(*Saving hundreds of pounds a week compared to a horse owner who would have to pay for the use of the facilities and all of the lessons)

New Part Loan

Due to the changes in our membership categories changes have therefore affected the way our Part loan system works:  Lanquestrian Part Loan automatically includes:

• Permanent Part Loan (9 weeks or more) is £57 per week now
• FREE Gold Membership with all of its benefits (worth £240 year)
• at least one riding lesson per week and possibly a lesson most days
• free professional back up
• Unlimited free use of all of the Lanquestrian facilities
• No other part loan scheme can possibly compare with this!
•  permanent part loaners MUST still pay whilst they are on holiday
• If temporary part loan of the horse/pony can be filled by a temporary part loaner then the permanent loaner will be refunded their money
• Part Loan Must be arranged through Us as there may be a waiting list & not to be arranged directly with the permanent Part Loaner. 
• Gold Membership will be granted for the period of part loan and will override the existing membership. 
• Other Bronze or Silver Memberships will be temporarily put on hold for the duration of the temporary part loan.
• Any decisions of who part loans which horse or pony will always remain the right of Lanquestrian Ltd.

Short Term Part Loan is for 8 weeks or less

• LQ Club Members £62 per week
• Non-members £67 per week
• Short Term Part Loan will ONLY be available if non loaned horses or ponies are available or if Permanent Part Loaners are on Holiday leaving their normal part loan horse/pony temporarily available.
• Any decisions of who part loans which horse or pony will always remain the right of Lanquestrian Ltd.

Part Loan can also be temporary in the school holidays for children or during time off work for adults.  In these cases names can be put on a list and loan will be on a first come first served basis as long as the horses and ponies are available and are suitable for the rider. If all the horses and ponies are on permanent loan even after a temporary loan was booked, the permanent loaner takes precedence.

Who can Part Loan?  Clients considered capable of handling and riding the part loan horse.  Riders MUST have regular lessons at Lanquestrian Ltd. And have had for at least 1 month immediately preceding the part loan period to be considered for part loan.   We do have standards of how we expect our horses and ponies to be treated, which is why we have a contract between LQ and the part loaner.

Availability  For those who are considering permanent part loan we only have a few horses and ponies left so you may want to get your name down.  Temporary part loan is first come first served and only available for certain animals or if permanent part loaners go on holiday.  If you part loan permanently you are expected to pay for each and every week even if you are on holiday, unless we have someone who will loan for that/those particular week(s).
